I also have a 13-15 yr old TWH horse. Age is questionable, b/c she has had several homes before I took her in. She is current on shots, coggins, hoofwork, and dental work. Her name is Gypsy, she was used and over used as a broodmare, she is small framed and does need herbs added to her diet, which $40 dollars in herbs lasts her about 4 mths. In the fall/winter she needs added calories; soaked alfalfa cubes or beet pulp added to her gain twice a day. She is a very loving and sweet mare that loves to be groomed, bathed, pampered. She has been ridden on trails and by children. She does have a fast paced TWH walk, but no aggression. She has nice feet, good hair and coat. In the winter, she will need a blanket when the temperature drops. She likes her privacy when she eats. I pull her into a separate paddock. I cannot provide 5 horses exercise, love, and attention that they deserve now that I have switched jobs and now travel over 50 miles one way to work. I have friends that come out to ride, but once a month is not cutting it for us. They deserve more. | | | | | | |  | | | | |
