I have a very old Siamese rat in the Austin area, and he has recently lost his partner. I am currently at college and my dad does not want to take on another rat, but rats cannot live by themselves.
Artemis is very friendly and loves snacks of cashews in the morning. He wants to have a place to take him in at least until his mom gets an apartment in August, but if you have a good home for him to stay in, she will be willing to part with him. He liked to tumble with Dmitri, and lived in a large cage (probably too large for the two of them, but they loved to run up and down). For some reason, he loved to sleep at the bottom of his cage in a corner he cleared free of litter. Even if the cage is left open all night, Artemis still prefers to remain in his cage. He is not neutered, and could be used to breed Siamese rats.
