The LiveStrong Fitness LS8.0T treadmill is definitely in the “budget treadmill” category. This machine is best used for walking, although some people may use it for jogging. It isn’t recommended for larger users and runners.
Johnson Inc., who builds Horizon Fitness and Vision Fitness machines, is the manufacturer of LiveStrong Fitness products. The name “LiveStrong” is in conjunction with Lance Armstrong’s charitable organization. Lance Armstrong endorses the LiveStrong products, while Johnson Inc. uses the LiveStrong name and donates money to the LiveStrong Cancer Foundation.
Priced at just under $800, the LiveStrong Fitness LS8.0T treadmill is just another version of the Horizon Fitness and Vision Fitness treadmills. Compared to the budget models of ProForm and NordicTrack, the LS8.0T seems decent. However, it hasn’t been on the market long enough to really know how well it holds up. This machine feels relatively stable; it runs fairly quietly; and the deck seems to absorb shock adequately.
Some features found on the LiveStrong Fitness LS8.0T treadmill are:
2.5 Continuous Duty HP Motor – perfect for walkers and, possibly, light joggers; not recommended for running
20” x 55” Walking Surface – the actual size of the walking surface, which is quite sufficient for most walkers
Speakers and MP3 Input – not great speakers, but adequate and convenient for listening to music or audio books during workouts
Cooling Fan – located in the console to provide cooler, more comfortable exercise sessions
Nine Workout Programs – to give you variety and to keep you motivated
LiveTrack Fitness Journal – lets you store and monitor your progress on the treadmill on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis

If you are on a budget, yet would like a treadmill for walking, the LiveStrong Fitness LS8.0T treadmill is a decent buy. For its price, it offers stability and some fairly nice features. Keep in mind, however, that this IS a budget machine. It gives the maximum user weight as 300 pounds. This is an over-statement.
