What is Buddhist meditaion? Meditation is old technique which the Lord Buddha practiced until attained enlightenment. Buddhist meditation is a part of daily practice of Buddhist monk and severe Buddhist laymen. There are many kinds of meditation that mankind has been developed. The most famous meditation technique is focusing the breathing during sitting meditation, and walking meditation.
Guided meditation : Sitting meditation Sit on the floor with cross leg. Put both palm on your lap on the flat position one hand will over lap to another for half of it and your thumb will join together in the middle of your lap. Close your eyes and start to meditate. There are nothing to think off, judgment or dream of during meditate. Concern only about the breathing in and out by focusing in one spot of your body. Focus point can be at the end of your nose or stomach which is easy to notice of the movement of the breath. Choose only one point of your body to focus. Continue do this as long as possible. Normally, a good period of meditation should be about 20-40 minutes per one time. Guided meditation : Walking meditation Find comfortable trail where you can walk straight for 8 - 10 steps. Open your eyes while walking. Do not stare at anything or count on your step. Walk back and fort on the trail slowly. Feel the movement during walking. Whenever, you see, feel, or think of something, bring back of your consciousness to your movement.
