Le Presbytere is a traditonal stone, Charentaise home and the former priest’s residence of the village, located next to the village church. Renovated to a high standard throughout. Two bathrooms, three toilets, 4 bedrooms. Beautiful stone- exposed walls, high ceilings and large windows. Cool in summer, warm in winter. Visitors love the particularly beautiful walled garden where you can always find a sunny spot to read a book, relax with a glass of wine or enjoy barbecues on the long, warm summer evenings..
LOCATION
Deep in the heart of the Charente countryside, surrounded by fields of sunflowers and vineyards. This property is at the centre of a small, friendly, typically French village, with the convenience of it’s own railway station with connections to Angouleme and Ruffec, both twenty minutes away, with TGV links to Paris.
The village is about 6 kms from the market town of Mansle, which offers supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks and a tourist office, nestled on the banks of the Charente River. Activities in the area include canoeing, fishing and swimming at the nearby lakes, rivers and swimming holes. The area is perfect country for cycling, walking, bird spotting exploring or simply relaxing with a glass of wine in the garden.
Despite its rural location, the village is home to a Michelin rated restaurant, which visitors travel from far and wide to sample their delicious menu (book in advance for this!)
