Hi , I have a 5 year old 14.2 buckskin paint pony for partial lease. Taz is well behaved, no vices, just needs a rider that knows what they are doing. She is being trained as a hunter/jumper and has been schooled over 2'6", but has free jumped 3'9." She needs a rider with good balance as she can be a bit wobbly. She is sensitive to the leg, and turns circles and figure 8's on just a slight squeeze of the calf, just using rein aids to reinforce once in a while. Overall she is very non-spooky, super affectionate, and smart. She is definitely not a kick-along, which I appreciate -but she is not hot either, just forward. The barn that she is at is right off of 421 (about 25 mi south of Boone) and has an indoor and a lighted outdoor ring, heated bathroom(!!!), insulated indoor wash pit, and a round pen. This partial lease would allow 3 rides a week, and the first few would have to be supervised by my trainer and/or myself just to make sure you are a good match! The $250 does not include lessons, and every other month there will be an extra $20 for farrier. If you are interested in showing, Hidden Creek Stables has schooling shows at its facilities and the trainer does go away for other schooling and rated shows. Using her for shows can be negotiated, so long as the trainer and/or I are present.
