I have a sweet 4-5 year old male ferret that I adopted in September.
Even though he is a doll with people of all ages (including children), I have since found that he does not care for other ferrets and despises cats!!! And I have both!!
He will aggressively go after a cat!!
So for he and my cats safety and peace of mind...I must now find him a forever home where he is the only pet or can easily be kept separate from other pets.
He is healthy, and up to date on his shots, he likes going outside on a leash, he will follow you around the house like a little dog once he gets to know you well, and he LOVES playing outside of his cage. And when he tires, he goes right back in and under his blankets all on his own!!
Excellent with the litter box when hes inside the cage and out!
His 3 tier cage MUST go with him as he does recognize it as HIS HOME, and all his blankets, hammocks etc etc.
As I said, he is WONDERFUL with people young and old alike, as he never minds when my four year old daughter carries him around. He is excellent with her.
Adopters must be aware that caring for a ferret is EXTREMELY hard work!! I will be extremely picky about who gets him!
