"Higher" is a dance-pop R&B song by British singer-songwriter Taio Cruz from his album Rokstarr. Four versions were released, the worldwide version features Australian singer Kylie Minogue, the US version features American rapper Travie McCoy, the Flemish version features the vocals by Dutch/Flemish girl band K3 and the last version, the one on Cruz's albums Rokstarr and The Rokstarr Collection, were released by him solo. In the UK the US version of the song made Radio 1's B-Playlist while the single version (with Kylie Minogue) has made Radio 2's B-Playlist. The song was said by Cruz that it will feature Minogue and Travie McCoy, however, Taio Cruz and Travie McCoy did not release it on the album, only the UK version of Minogue. Taio Cruz and Minogue sang live together at the Starfloor stadium, saying it would be a single. The fourth version will be released in the Benelux in January 2011. It was said by Minogue that her producer Stuart Price proposed for Higher to be on her 11th studio album Aphrodite, however, she said it wasn't what she was "looking for the finish", but said it was a "killer track". |
