| | | I have a leopard appy gelding and spotted draft cross mare that will be sitting all winter if anyone is interested in a winter lease, together or separately. I won't let them go BUT they won't be ridden in the winter months. We have no arena access, plus I barely had time to ride this summer. My niece and son rode them more than I did! Both have good barn manners and ride together or alone. Both trail ride, but indoor work would be more suited for the winter.
Dreamer is the mare, and is 110% beginner safe and sweet. Has been ridden by my beginner son with autism. So gentle! She has a custom Australian saddle and is barefoot. She is 22, approx 16.0 and walk/trot mostly. Mojo is the appy gelding. He is 18--but acts like he's 5-- approx. 15.0 and has a 'moon eye' (partially blind), but is perfectly safe. He is advanced beginner-intermediate and likes to be worked. Gelding is barefoot also, and likes to be on outside turnout 24/7 if possible.
If anyone is looking to free lease for the winter, get in touch. Available October thru May. I would expect the leasee to sign a contract and want to see them or stay in touch via phone/email at least once a month (with notice, of course). I would prefer a place near Waterville/Augusta.
