Roxy is a 2 yr. old purebred black and gray Havanese female that we have had for one year. She is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. She weighs about 10 lbs. She was rescued with quite a few problems involving socialization, housetraining, and fear. In the time that we have had her, she has gotten much better with all of these things, but still needs work. We have three kids, whom she loves, but with all the work she still needs, and the time it is going to take, we don't feel we are providing her anymore with the best home to fit her needs. She still does not trust men. It would be best for her to live in a home without a man, kids are fine, but best that they be at least 5 or 6 years old and older. She is a beautiful dog with a very sweet personality. We have another Havanese dog, as well, that Roxy just loves and gets along with great. We don't have cats, so we are not sure how she would be with cats. Roxy would do best in a home that can provide lots of love, patience; someone that is comfortable in training dogs and knows how to deal with her issues. She likes to chase other dogs and joggers, so it is necessary that she goes to a family with a fenced yard. She is housebroken, for the most part. She will "widdle" when she is really excited or scared, so she needs time with that and may need to resort to doggie diapers. If you have a soft place in your heart for Roxy, she would love to provide you with lifelong love. These dogs live to be about 15 years old, so please do not make this decision hastily She needs love, patience and time. She loves to be petted, especially on her tummy, and she loves to spend time with you. She needs a home where she will not be left alone for long periods of time. She does well in the car and loves to go for car rides and tag along to the store. If you are interested, please contact us so we can discuss.
