| | | "Sun Kissed Kate" or Kate is a 2008 QH/Arabian/Mustang Bay Roan filly, she stands 13.1hh and is a complete doll! Started under saddle in February of this year, she has several trail rides under her belt and is almost a pro. She is really smart and needs a confident leader or will not hesitate to take advantage of you, but otherwise she is super willing and learns lightning fast!
I have been working with her on the ground for several years on and off up until a couple months ago, and she has become extremely good at yielding to pressure, and is respectful of personal space. I have done a little bit of Horsemanship work with her, and teaching her turn on the forehand. She is started ground driving and is picking up on that nicely.
Under saddle she walks, trots, a little canter, backs up and is working on turn on the forehand.
She hates feeling restrained so she needs a little work on standing still when being saddled, and needs work on standing in cross ties/being bathed. She stands for farrier as long as someone is holding her.
Trailers well, stands for grooming.
Only selling because we have too many youngsters and not enough time, I am going to miss this little girl when she goes.
