| | | My name is Chance and I am a 7 year old (will be 8 in February) purebred English Setter. I love my owner, but unfortunately since she is going off to college and no one left at home to take care of me, I am looking for a new home.
I am okay with kids and other dogs, but I have lived by myself my whole life so I'm not sure if I could adjust to that lifestyle. I can snap at people when they try to take things from me, or if I feel I am threatened, so I would be best in the hands of someone with lots of dog experience. I am very loving, but unfortunately have been lonely for sometime so I take a while to warm up to people.
I LOVE to go for runs with my owner, long walks, and go to the dog park. I'm pretty good off the leash, but sometimes I wander. I also love car rides, and I am very well behaved in the car. Petco is also another favorite place of mine!
I am microchipped, neutered, and I am up to date on all my shots. I need to go to a very ACTIVE home with a LARGE yard for me to run in. I can spend hours outside chasing squirrels. I do like to bark at things and people to try to get their attention, but as long as they stop to pet me I'll stop barking. I love to sleep in my owner's bed with her, and would prefer a home where I could sleep in your bed, too! I can get lonely at night, and I like to protect you while you sleep.
I will come with everything I need: dog bed, dog crate, two leashes, collar, dog bowl & place mat, a supply of dog food and treats. I have somewhat lost interest in toys over the years, but would love to find an owner who could show me how to play again!
*I love this dog with all my heart, and if I could find a way to keep him I would. That being said, I will SCREEN individuals interested. You MUST have the following: large yard, previously owned a dog, very ACTIVE lifestyle. I will also visit your home to make sure, and we will see if you get along with the dog before going any further.
