 One of the most satisfying things to collect are old Family Bibles that have been put up for sale or abandoned. It's extremely interesting to browse the notes and scribbles left behind. Years ago family Bible's were a very important record keeping tool and you can spend hours and hours just investigating these old treasures (they are kind of like a map to the history of the family who originally owned the Bible). I like to collect old family Bibles because I know that the original owner put so much care and effort into them, and I don't want to see all the effort and history be lost. |
