Let me show you what current owners have to say about it. By Andrew L.,"I've had this Sole E35 now for about 2 weeks and am highly impressed with the quality and workout I get. I have used Precor ellipticals in the past and really like them but there was no way I was going to spend $4K-$5K for one. The E35 is an incredible value of quality and offers an equally outstanding workout. I'm 230Lbs now (with a goal of 195), and I can say the E35 is a very solid machine with a sturdy high quality feel, and the 25Lb flywheel makes it plenty smooth as well. The machine glides in near silence, which I also love. The screen is large and bright and offers plenty of options and information. You can monitor your pulse with either the hand grips or the chest strap, and both work excellent. Oddly the instructions say it offers 16 levels of resistance, but mine goes to L20. Regardless there are plenty of levels of resistance." Review paraphrased for size – view original here Pros Many elliptical machines and treadmills have problems with noise and jerky motions. Not so with the Sole Elliptical E35. The oversized flywheel, solid frame construction and good bearings provide a smooth stride without the noise and clunking that is common with other machines. Let's face it if you have to put up with poor performance from the equipment you are not very likely to use it! You will enjoy using the Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer- 2011. For some unknown reason many of the cheaper model elliptical or treadmills only provide a 17-18 inch stride. If you are taller, say over 5'9", this is going to give you a short choppy feeling stride, again not very pleasant. Thankfully, designers addressed this issue in the Sole version and you will get a nice even 20" stride from this machine. Another common feature for this type of exercise equipment is the handgrip heart monitor. If you have ever used one of these you know, it has innate problems, even in the higher end market. When you are moving around your hands are going to slip, which gives inaccurate readings on your heart rate. The Sole elliptical E35 addresses this issue with the chest strap. When you want an accurate heart rate during your workout use the strap! Cons Perhaps the biggest drawback to this particular machine is its size. Be prepared to have some help moving the box and setting this monster up. It weighs 200 pounds! Of course, this is why the machine can offer such flawless motion. The sturdy built construction allows even larger individuals to get a full pounding workout without shaking the machine apart, and that is what it is all about right? Conclusion If you are looking for a good elliptical machine that will provide whisper quiet operation, plenty of resistance levels, incline and a great heart monitoring system the Sole elliptical E35 is a fantastic choice. While it may be a bit heavy and require some help to set up it is still one of the best models for the price and the instructions are clear. Visit my site for more Elliptical Trainers reviews
