I need a new home for my 3 year old 13lb. male Yorkie. He is the most loving, playful, and energetic dog I've ever met. He loves people! He is house-trained and is good with children. I have not had him around many other dogs, but whenever I have, he loves the companionship. He is also good with cats. He is even less aggressive with my outside cat than she is with him. He tries to avoid her actually, so you would never have to worry about him chasing or fighting. He is up to date on shots. He has no health problems. I have not kept him in a crate. Whenever we leave, we keep him in the bathroom with some food/water/toys, so he can move around a bit. He also sleeps with me. He is very cuddly, but will sleep on the other side of the bed or on the floor if you want him to. He is great at going to "his room" when told, so I'm sure he would not be hard to crate train if needed.
I'm SO very upset about having to let him go. I love him as if he were my child! However, I just moved out of my mother's house into an apartment, and I could not take him with me. My mother is not happy about him leaving either, but she knows she will not be home enough to give him the attention he needs. When he was 7 months old I got him from another family, who got him from a breeder as soon as he was able to be sold. I do have the papers on him from the breeder. If I remember correctly, I believe he is registered with either AKC or CKC. I am away from home and do not have his papers with me, but I can confirm when you respond if you like.
I have a leash and collar, set of food and water bowls, dog shampoo, 1 full bag of his dog food (Purina Beneful Original), almost a full box of Milkbone treats, a few other treats, and a few toys he likes: all of which you can take as well.
Please contact me by email at melanieegray@me.com if interested. I can send pictures!
I really want him to go to a loving home where he will receive plenty of attention. If you work long hours where he will be left alone for long periods of time, this will probably not be a great fit for you. When you respond, please tell me a little about yourself, your family if you have any living with you, where you live, and what you do. Again, he is very playful. So if you plan to leave him alone for long periods of time, not only will he not be happy, but he will require much more attention when you are home. Thanks for looking!
