Use any thin-set setting material; there is no requirement to use an epoxy setting material.

Materials:

Pencil, saw or utility knife for cutting substrate layer out of shelf location, and Polyurethane sealant.

Installation

1 Install 1/2" concrete backer board or equivalent.
2 Determine desired height of shelf and draw level line on backer board above and below the 1/2" flange of shelf.
3 Cut along line and remove backer board.
4 Use polyurethane sealant to adhere shelf to wall. Apply polyurethane to top and bottom section of the flange.
5 Wipe excess sealant smooth on top and bottom section of shelf and wall.
6 Install tile according to Tile Council of North America (TCNA) guidelines.
