5. A section is exactly 1 mile in a square. One quarter section, or 160 acres, is exactly 1/2 mile in a square. It will you pretty much all day, depending on terrain to walk around the boundaries. If it was a paved road it would take you about 1/2 hour to walk around 160 acres with a good pace.
