Silver Spoons
This is a pretty Cased Set of 6 Solid Silver Gilt & Blue Enamel Bean Top Coffee Spoons. The silver gilt spoons have blue shell shaped enamel backs of the bowls, the front of the bowls being gilt. Each are topped off with a brown/black bean finial. This lovely set comes complete in its original box and also a little gift card from the sender to the receipinet which gives them a little bit of provenance.
Assay Office: BIRMINGHAM
Date: 1934
Makers Marks: HCD
Dimensions: 3.5 inches long and the bowls 1 inch long and 0.75 inch wide. They weigh a total of 1.5/8 oz (47g) but this does include the bean top and the enamel
Condition: They are in very good condition with just one very small area of enamel loss on one of the spoons but this is very minor. The case is in good condition inside but the outside lining is a bit worn on the base and front edge where it is staring to come away. The clasp also needs some slight attention as it does not quite catch properly but again this is only minor and does not detract from the lovely set of spoons
Remarks: A very pretty cased set of 6 solid silver gilt and blue enamel coffee bean spoons, not to be missed as these are always very popular
