Dancer 4-Life Productions LLC was founded by husband and wife dancers, Steve and Dana Notario. Together they created DANCE-OPOLY which incorporates real-life scenarios of a professional dance career. Based on their extensive and diverse careers in the dance industry, DANCE-OPOLY has all the flavors, textures and colors of the world of dance, sure to rouse excitement and a lot of laughs for everyone in dance who has “been there and done that!”
Steve, a successful Las Vegas show producer, had an enviable twenty-year career in dance. A young street dancer in his teens, he later became an original cast member of “The Dancin’ Machine”, a dance group that went on to perform in Las Vegas showrooms for the next twenty years, also performing in over one hundred television shows throughout the 1970’s, including “The Midnight Special”, “Hot City”, “Kicks”, “The American Music Awards”, and “The Grammy Awards”.
In the 1980’s Steve left “The Dancin’ Machine” and was immediately cast to sing and dance the lead roles for both the “Follies Bergere International Tour” and on Broadway in “West Side Story”. In 1983 his group “The Footlockers” became the national semi-finalist on Star Search in the Dance category. “The Footlockers” then went on to co-star in several films including “Breakin’ 2 Electric Boogaloo” and “Cry of the City”. As the opening act for Chita Riviera’s Asian Tour, the Diana Ross U.S. Tour, and Liza Minnelli’s World Tour, the group went on to perform in every major theater in the United States and Europe, including the London Palladium, the Pallais Des Congress in Paris, the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
Dana came onto the dance scene at the tender age of five, studying ballet for twelve years at the Rozann-Zimmerman School of Ballet in Chatsworth, California. At 19, she toured the US, Mexico, South America and Asia with the international tour of “The Flinstones on Parade”, where she performed as a dancer and aerialist. She later returned to California where she studied jazz with Joe Tremaine, Bill Goodson, and Russell Clark. For the next few years her busy dance schedule had her performing at the Hollywood Palace, and in various music videos, TV commercials and fashion shows. She also helped her mom, Sandy Friedman, owner of the popular Capezio Dance Shop in Canoga Park, California, where she has been in business since 1973, and is proudly represented with a spot on the new DANCE-OPOLY gameboard!
Dana has experience in many facets of entertainment both on and off-stage, from magician’s assistant/dancer in the Las Vegas show “That’s Magic”, to touring Australia and New Zealand with “Cinderella On Ice” in wardrobe and costuming, to an extensive career in animal training. A graduate of the Exotic Animal Training & Management program from Moorpark Junior College in Moorpark, California, Dana has worked with a range of exotic animals including baboons, macaws, Bengal tigers, orangutans and chimps. She also trained with the dolphins at Sea World in Perth, Western Australia, and has worked as an animal handler in the “Winds of the Gods” show at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, working with the horses, camels and zebras in the show.
With Steve and Dana’s colorful and robust careers in dance and entertainment influencing the game’s strategy and design, DANCE-OPOLY is a sure-fire hit and the perfect gift for the dancer in your life!
