Raleigh 555SL Double-Butted All CroMo 5 lb. frame (stripped). Serial# 5BN0500.

Features: Forged dropouts. Rear axle adjustment screws. Raleigh tange headset obviously by Seike-Levin (but not attributed). Quickstand feature clips to front tire, holds bars straight in storage while on kickstand.

Fierra-Red paint main tubes, white star accents on Flag-Blue fork and stays, all original in very nice condition with a few normal paint nicks. Minor cosmetic ding on one side of center seat tube does not affect the frame's integrity.

Total bike weight = 25 lbs.

Standover height 37". Top tube 22.5" c-c. Center tube 27" c-c (68.6cm).

Will fit leg length to 43" with post fully extended.

The Team U.S.A. road bike was made by Raleigh to celebrate the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics road cycling event when Alexi Grewal became the first American man to win the gold.
His winning bicycle is at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History.
