Recently... I was talking to a friend who... is now 70 years old... she retired 2 years ago at the age of 68 years. She told me and one of her brothers during this conversation... she spent 31 years at a job she didn't even like.

This was a startling statemen and revealation. I was really surprise... shock to hear her make this comment. Why? In my previous social interactions with her and members of her family over the past nine years... since the time I met her... she has articulated numerous stories about her job. She proudly talked about the national high profile company she worked for... the benefits, the special perks and the bonuses... the interesting people she worked with and had the opportunity to meet.

I had assumed from listening to her stories which allow me to see glimpses into her work life... from the things that she had shared over the passage of time she enjoyed her job... the financial rewards... the people... the work enviroment and the quality of life she has because of her employment choice.
