Aredia (Pamidronate class action). Aredia is a bisphosphonate drug that has been linked to jaw bone death (osteonecrosis of the jaw). Many cases of jaw bone death (ONJ) have been reported as a side effect from Aredia.
As a result of this, it appears that Novartis no longer markets Aredia. Anyone who used Aredia should discuss with their doctors the precautions that they should take in doing any dental work, since Aredia Pamidronate Disodium may cause ONJ (osteonecrosis of the jaw).
