You are unable to meet your sales expectations for one very simple reason.
You are not unique in being unable to meet your desired income. Sales are difficult because you are lacking one very specific - yet simple - ingredient.

Most real estate salespeople dive into sales without any background in real estate. So the market is saturated with real estate agents. True: Ease-of-entry into real estate career means people do not trust real estate agents.
Because the market is saturated, customers have been wary of people in the real estate sales business. Even criminals can get real estate licenses if they wait long enough. And even anyone who is uneducated at the high school level can get a license.
This is not bad news for you! But it is bad news for anyone who thinks they can dive into their career and barrell through without establishing trust in their clientele and potential customers.
You need to compensate for the fact that ethics studies have concluded the #17 least trusted type of person in America is a person with a real estate license (The actual number varies but our research is from 2001).
How do you get trust?
Buyers take all your time and are not a guarantee. You have time but you need money. Buyers are expensive as well. And they are not a guarantee to actually buy (as you have probably figured out by now!)
Sending mailers takes years. One mailer each month for three years means a possible client out of it. Do you have $200,000 to pay for your income for three years (minimum?). Most do not.

Fact: mailers work for salespeople who already have had business with the customer/client at least one time in the past. Even then it's a wait for years (average 7 in the USA) for them to move again.
