I guess the first type of submission can be worth of your efforts because it submits unlimitted websites to directories in addition to search engines. But you shouldn't bother about submitting only to search enngines because that is available for free everywhere on the internet and that will result almost nothing. But submitting to directories and to sites can increase your search engine ranking. You also need to be aware of that you need to create a hosting account to make use of his system.
