Some of the most pure and classic looking rat rods are rat rod roadsters. These are the ones you often dream about, it's what many people think of when people think of rat rods. The roadster is what started it all. Back in the day guys used to race roadsters on small oval tracks all over the united states (this was before sprint cars and modifieds became popular). Yet these track roadsters had the look of a rat rod and many guys brought that same look off the track to the streets and the rat rod was born!
