| | | | Dulcinea "Dulce" Booth was born June 2002, in Yavapai County, AZ. My mother and I adopted her from the Humane Society in September 2002. She looks to be a Border Collie/Shepard mix with longer hair and thick undercoat; I generally cut her hair down to about 1/2 to 1 inch for the summer. Dulcinea is spayed and has current shots. She is housebroken and trained in basic commands. At approximately 40-45 lbs, she is a medium sized dog and energetic outdoors. She has a very calm demeanor when just lounging around the house or yard. She is good with other dogs, male and female adults, and children; she has never lived with cats as I am allergic to them so I don't know how she would respond to them. Dulcinea needs some running space and attention; without this, she reverts to digging, whining, and barking (but she can't resist the temptation to dig in freshly planted gardens). She will escape if she doesn't have regular exercise and attention. Currently, I see her between 20 minutes and 1 hour per day and she gets exercise about every other day (except during finals week). I am a college student gearing for graduate work and study abroad in the fall; I can no longer provide her with the attention and exercise she needs between work, internships, coursework, and exams.
