We all seem to take for granted the things that we are blessed with. From our health to our jobs to our families, we expect that they will always be there and the unfortunate things that happen to others will never be a part of our world. I have been as guilty as anyone at this but now these things are an everyday part of my world.
Last week the doctors told me that things don't look good for me. There were no more medicines or treatments to try, no more hope to stop the inevitable. Everything is gone-the 401k, the savings, the house and cars. All gone or in repossession. The dreams I had for my 14 year old son are long past. I can't even pay the rent that's past due.
Everywhere I have turned seems to be a dead end. The few charities that could help, can't because they don't have the resources or for some reason I don't qualify. Everyone tells me to ask family members but they don't know what to say when I tell them I have no living relatives to ask for help. It's just us. The few friends we have left are strapped as well this year but they try to help and I thank them every day for it.
If someone out there could help us, no matter if it's $.10 to $10.00, I would be forever grateful. I'll post my paypal address below (this is our only de bit card left-we were overdrawn at the bank and they closed our account) if you want to help. But if you don't, please, help someone else. No matter if they're young or old, someone is in need. Don't let "Pay It Forward" be a catch phrase, make it a part of your everyday life.
