Plans Make Early American Colonial Dollhouse Furniture
You can make this lovely colonial style doll furniture
You see lots of modern doll house furniture but seldom see colonial style furniture in the early American style.
Here is a set of plans with complete instructions for building a really beautiful set of colonial American living room and kitchen doll furniture.
The furniture includes a high back settle, trestle table and benches,American pine high back dresser to display dishes and six board pine chest and a carver chair with arms.
You can make all of this furniture with very simple tools.Small triangular and half round files, sandpaper,a sharp thin bladed knife, thin bladed small saw such as jig saw or jewellers type saw.A lathe is nice for turning posts etc but is not really necessary as they can be filed out by hand from wooden dowels.Glue and small nails or brads are used to assemble the furniture along with a small hammer.
For finishing you can keep the natural wood colour or stain it darker with wood stain. Then varnish with plastic urethane varnish and rub down a little with steel wool when dry to remove any gloss.
You can build really fine doll house furniture in this early American style. It is hard to find and looks just great in your doll house.
If you make things to sell this is just right for you.It sells well at craft fairs, doll shows etc.A nice money making hobby. Check it out here on eBay: http://goo.gl/ifm2E
