Trekking is the best way of experiencing Himalayan landscape, culture, flora and fauna. Nepal being in the southern slope of the Himalayas has got ascending layers of mountains starting from the tropical planes. There are hundreds of trekking routes in Nepal with different difficulty levels and duration. Difficult treks or remote treks follows the valley with basic or no facilities and crosses passes over 5,000 m. Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Dolpo, Kanchanjunga are the trekking of this category. ->:Ghorepani / Pun hill trek:

Ghorepani trek starts with an 1 1/2 hrs drive to the trekking trail head from Pokhara. The trail follows Burungdi valley upstream climbing gradually. One can spend the night at the base of 3,000 steep steeps to Ulleri for the first day. But the view from Ulleri worth the 2 hrs climb. The trail then winds less steeply through the forest to Ghorepani at 2,800m. Ghorepani is a mountain pass overlooking the Kali Gandaki valley and the Himalayas of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. We will climb to Pun Hill for the undisturbed view of Himalayas with the first rays of sun.

->:Annapurna Base Camp trek:

The trek passes through the foothills of the Annapurna Himalayas starting as low as 1,100 m. We will pass through the terraced fields and charming villages of Gurungs and Magars ascending to the forested higher reaches. Ghorepani / Pun Hill offers magnificent view of about 15 peaks including some of the world’s highest peaks – Dhaulagiri (8,167 m / 7th highest), Annapurna I (8,091 m / 10th highest) and Manaslu (8,156 m / 8th highest). The trail further sea saws coming across the mountainsides with beautiful views and finally enter the steep valley wedged between Annapurna South and Fishtail (Machhapuchhere). These were the dwellings of shepherds with thatched sheds which has been replaced by limited teahouses now. The narrow valley opens up wide at Machhapuchre (Fishtail) base camp. Annapurna base camp is just 1 and half hrs walk away encircled by vertically soaring snow peaks.

->:Langtang trek:
# Maxim Altitude: Kyanjin Gompa (3,860 m)
# Duration: 7 days (5 days of trekking and 2 days inbound and outbound drive from Kathmandu )
# Difficulty: moderate with more gradual climbs and ups and downs of about 300 m of each climb.
# Accommodation: teahouse with western toilet, hot shower and restaurant catering basic international cuisines.

Langtang trek is popular for its easy access from Kathmandu, Himalayas and the enclave of Tibetan culture. Langtang region provided the easiest transit for the trans-Himalayan trade and Buddhism in the medieval and ancient time. Hence Langtang exhibits the most vivid culture of Shamanistic Tamangs and Tibetan Buddhist Sherpas.
The trek starts with 4wd drive to Syabrubensi in the confluence of Langtang and Trishuli River. We follow Langtang valley through the thick forest protected as Langtang National park. The valley opens up into the pasture at Ghoretabala. Then it is gradually traverse the pasture lodged between snow peaks of Jugal Himal range and Langtang Range to the Kyanjin Gompa.

Langtang is best for alpine trek with Helicopter flight. 7 days trek could be planned with Helicopter flight into the valley and back. One can climb to 5,000 m peak in only 7 days.

Everest Trek to Tengboche Monastery

This is cultural trek in Everest National park. We will fly to Lukla and then trek into the Sherpa land. Visit the highland Sherpa villages of Namche and Khumjung. Tibetans from across the boarder comes to Namche to trade Chinese goods. Khumjung village has got one of the first Sir Edmund Hillary School. The ridge of Tengboche monastery offers the panoramic view of Mt Everest and other Himalayan peaks.
The trek could be done based on deluxe and luxury lodges as well.
