Wonderful deep-caramel chestnut with silver hairs sprinkled throughout, especially during the summer months. She does 'change' colors from a bright caramel to a deep reddish brown in changing sunlight - gotta love a roan animal! Bright, even, white, bold, full blaze with matching white socks on her off (right) side. Wavy flaxen mane with wavy, colorful tail that shows her roan traits fantastically.
BAREFOOT BEAUTY; exclusively used as a trail horse; has been ridden bareback, but only in the ring, not on the trails; nice and easy walk; peppy rack; thrilling canter and gallop; impressive ground manners - a Southern Belle, for sure! There is no want of personality from this foxy lady. She isn't a horse for beginners, but does take care of a confident rider. Not only is she light on the reins, but she is also highly aware of body and leg cues - may be too touchy for the new or shy rider.
She leads wonderfully; loads easy; easy to catch from the field, either with grain or simply by walking up to her and haltering; will stand and support her own weight when working on her feet - no dangerous leaning! Walks on loose rein and has a nice, light and supple mouth. She backs easily, knows how to sidepass, turns and stops on a dime, all with the lightest of pressure. She will step over obstacles, not jump; or she will navigate safely around them. I find her to be a sure-footed ride, as well as fun and obedient in the saddle. She comes with a bridle ONLY (5" snaffle bit). Easy keeper and loves her treats!
She has an elegant head, almost like an Arabian! For her breed, though, I don't recommend using her for anything but as a gaited pleasure horse.
