Dont pass this amazing boy up. Hes great with the family, good with beginners, and loves to go out on the trails or be some little girl/teens treasure.
Shady is approx. 13 year old, 15.2hh, non-registered appaloosa gelding. I got him with the intentions of doing rodeo with him but hes not fast (at least for me) on the barrel or pole patterns. He is very patterned on them (walk, trot, canter), so with the right person maybe he will run?
I've mainly used him as a trail horse and ive just goofed around with him. He makes an excellent trail horse, doing whatever you want him to. Ive taken him up for a weekend teen camp at Skamania County Fairgrounds and he did fantastic. Everyone there seemed to really enjoy his personality and willingness to try everything at least a few times. Ive done small "clinic" type things with him such as showing smaller kids how to properly fit a saddle, do his feet, groom a horse lunging, show halter fittings, bridle fitting, had complete beginners to experienced riders on him, etc.
I have rode him english and have jumped him. He had some previous dressage training done. (havent done anything dressage with him since ive had him).
He doesnt spook, rear, buck, bite. No bad habits except being a smidge pushy with adults. kids can lead him and he is perfectly fine.
He has a goofy, silly personality and let's just put it this way, things really don't boring when hes around.
He would do BEST with a teen with time to spend with him or someone who just want a buddy or mount for trails.
(I want him to go to someone who is actually going to use him. Hes too sweet and goofy just to leave lying around :p)
He MUST GO ASAP. I hate to see him go but i'm not using him enough and need room for another horse.
I'm asking $1500 but i am negotiable to the right person!!
If Shady sounds like a possibility for you, then send me and email or text (also if you have more questions, you know what to do) and i'll get back to right away. :)
