Several weeks ago, I adopted a young pitbull/Rottweiler puppy. The next day, somebody I knew also adopted a puppy from the same litter. I got mine vacinnated and dewormed several times(he had roundworms) and checked. A few days ago, I found out that the guy who adopted my puppy's brother was being evicted because he refused to go in to work(he showed up late, no call-no show, called off, etc. Every single day). His roommate kicked him out because he wasn't paying ANY rent, nor was he taking care of his dog. I paid the guy just to take the dog off of his hands because he claimed he was going to live in a car with the puppy(mind you, every aspect of making a dog live in a car is horrible). I only took the puppy in to find him a home because I knew his owner was not going to. In his care, he was NOT taken outside, he was NOT vacinnated, he was NOT dewormed(despite the fact that we told his owner that the puppies had worms), and he was NOT being fed or watered enough. He came to me covered head to toe in his own urine(he never cleaned up the puppy's messes) and infested with roundworms. I dewormed him immediately and bathed him twice. He needs to be vetted to be vacinnated still, and I would recommend at least one more deworming. He is currently 14 weeks old and weighs about 18lbs. He is very sweet and loving, but he is not potty trained due to a lack of proper attention and care. He gets along great with other dogs and cats as well as children. He would do best in a home with patient owners, people who would understand that he is not trained, and would take the time to train him and keep him forever. He deserves better than what he had. His name is Burger, but I'm not expecting anyone to keep it the same. His rehoming fee is negotiable since he hasn't been vetted and he is not trained, but I paid $50 for him, so I am aiming to receive at least that amount back but it is not a requirement. I just want him to go to a kind and loving home with people who will get him the vet care he needs being a puppy. Because of this, a vet reference would be appreciated. Please help me find Burger a home!
