Take That is a British pop group that formed in 1990. Music manager
Nigel Martin-Smith, who wanted to form an all male pop British pop
group, put the band together. Martin-Smith was hoping to appeal
primarily to the teenage market with his group. He eventually met
20-year-old singer/songwriter Gary Barlow and decided to form the band
around him. Martin-Smith then held auditions for the other members and
eventually settled on a line up of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason
Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams.Take That , british music |
