The older Kentucky's Land Of The Arches Red River Gorge Guide Book has not been revised since the mid eighties and is not as reliable as this one which was released in 2000. The Gorge has changed a lot since the mid eighties.
This Red River Gorge Guide Book has descriptions for all of the trails in both areas including the Sheltowee Trace. One drawback that I noticed is that there is no mention of the way to Indian Stairway, one of the highlights of the gorge and a great place for rock climbing and rappelling.
This Red River Gorge Guide Book is hard to find and expensive and I am offering mine at $49.99, the lowest price available ANYWHERE on the internet. The next cheapest I have found is priced at $69-$70, and some people are asking as much as $238.
The book is in very good used condition.. There are a couple of spots where the previous owner placed check marks in pen and wrote "Martin's Fork 2068" on page 4, but nothing too serious. The front cover does not lie flat against the rest of the pages, but again nothing too serious, just disclosure for the sake of an accurate description.
Get a great deal on a great trail guide. Don't hike the gorge without it! For More Information,
