Description:
Continuously monitor HIPAA/Privacy Act regulations and policies, URAC Standards, media events and outlets, beneficiary inquiries, and information from various other sources (Government listserves, publications, advocacy groups, and websites) and meetings to stay current on HIPAA/Privacy Act policy.
Consult and coordinate with GDIT Legal POC regarding communications or development of training material related to HIPAA/Privacy Act regulations and policies, URAC Standards, media events and outlets, beneficiary inquiries, and information from various other sources (Government listserves, publications, advocacy groups, and websites). Use information gathered from a wide variety of resources to proactively prepare GDIT executive leadership, GDIT NAL program management staff, and others of legislative, policy, and advocacy changes that may directly impact the NAL.
This requires a familiarity with existing HIPAA/Provacy Act materials used by the NAL and an understandingof how changes in healthcare policy and/or regulations would necessitate changes in NAL operations and the content/information provided to beneficiaries.
