The ideal Claims Adjuster is a professional individual with exceptional customer service skills, responsible for management of less complex international and domestic Logistics cargo claims. The Adjuster will file claims with service providers to achieve the best possible financial result for the company: review all matters assigned in a timely and professional manner: set up and maintain both manual and electronic files: develop claims resolution plans: keep current status notes: conduct full investigations: communicate with insurers: evaluate loss prevention opportunities: and negotiate claims resolutions. The position has a heavy emphasis on documentation and financial management. Travel requirements are minimal.
Key points of contact will be customers, origin offices, truck carrier, ocean carriers, rail carriers, contractors, vendors and / or other adjustors. Reporting to internal management on claims activities will also be required.
