For most people, you are on a schedule of two weeks on the rig, and two weeks back home. I've found that while on the rig, many people miss the comforts of home, but once home, the boredom sets in and you are ready to get back out on the rig with your friends and co-workers.This is just a small percentage of the things that are to be said about working on an offshore oil rig. The pay is good, the time on and time off is rewarding, and the closeness you develop with your co-workers are lasting friendships that some people envy.
