Tough
as they are, agility
soccer
training drills are very useful. You might not think it at first, but
those
long hours of stretching, burst sprints and slaloming will pay off in a
number
of fields on match day.
For defenders, agility allows them to be quicker on the
turn, becoming tougher to dribble and it also increases their ability
to tackle
precisely and on time. Midfielders, especially defensive ones, will
benefit
from agility drills by getting more turnovers, clearing up for a pass
and so
forth. Attackers who have a good agility are better dribblers and they
can more
easily get into a great finishing position at the end of a
pass.
