Having problem in keeping your tropical fish healthy and lively? Dealing with tropical fish disease is very distressing and unpleasant. A lot of knowledge in maintaining tropical fish is required if you want to diagnose and treat tropical fish disease.

Tropical fish disease have many syndromes such as white spot on the body, whitish film over the eye, pop eye, loss in appetite, fast swimming and rotten fin. These diseases are usually related to water quality, fungus, parasite, bacteria, velvet etc.

Some of the tropical fish disease can be treated with anti-fungus medication, salt bath and changing water. Common water quality problems are improper water salt content (or salinity), water discoloration, ammonia poisoning (due to biological waste produced by fish), fluctuating pH levels (will promote Algae generation), chlorine poisoning and water temperature incorrect.

A well-balance, ideal aquarium ecology reproduces the equilibrium found in the nature. It is almost impossible to maintain a perfect balance in a small and closed aquarium system. But if proper steps are taken to treat and maintain the stability in the small ecosystem, you will minimize the risk of aquarium inhabitants for having tropical fish disease and plants fouling up.
