This Is The Second National Atlas EverProduced For The United States!
In 1870 the first experimental United States Atlas was created based on that year's census. While that atlas was a great leap for the understanding of our nation, there was a lot of room for improvement. Over the next 10 years the government worked to create a second atlas that would provide a complete snapshot of the growing United States.
By the time of the 1880 census the nation was ready. This time around they were able to create an atlas that truly mirrored our great nation! That's why this atlas contains twice as many images and files as the first!
This is a cartographer's dream come true!
Experience The Genius Of The Mr. Sid Viewer!
The Mr. Sid Viewer is one of the most powerful ways to view computer images ever created. Better still - the Mr. Sid Viewer is our free gift to you just for trying this amazing historical CD.
