Premature ejaculation is something men should not be embarrassed about as there are quite a few men suffering from this sexual disorder. I have a friend whose husband suffered from premature ejaculation, and this was making their married life rather bumpy. So as a close friend, she had confided in me, asking me if premature ejaculation was something that could be cured and if it was a rare sexual disorder.
For the records, premature ejaculation is a sexual condition where the male partner ejaculates sooner than required when having sexual intercourse. If this occurs infrequently, there is not much to worry about. Sometimes the man may ejaculate just before intercourse begins, which proves to be rather irritating to the couple, or just after starting sexual intercourse. In the case of my friend, her husband used to ejaculate just after starting sexual intercourse, which often left her irritated and dissatisfied.
I had advised her that this was a sexual disorder that occurred in as many as one out of three men, and that there was no need of worrying or pondering much about the problem. I then told her that instead of feeling embarrassed about the problem, it was better for them to talk to a doctor and find a suitable treatment for her husband.
Basically, premature ejaculation is not only a psychological problem, but is also affected by biological factors. In fact, some men tend to suffer from both premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction: suggesting that these two sexual conditions are related to each other.
So instead of worrying about premature ejaculation and hiding from looking for a cure for the condition, I told her that it was possible to get her husband treated, and her enjoy her sex life once again by taking treatment that included medications and psychological counseling. In addition to this, I had suggested that she learnt some sexual techniques with which it was possible to delay ejaculation when having sexual intercourse so that their sex life is improved. It is usually a combination of all these treatments that work best on the man suffering from premature ejaculation.
There is no basic rule as to how quickly one has to ejaculate and when man is considered to be suffering from premature ejaculation. To some partners 20 minutes prove to be too short for sexual intercourse: and in such cases if the male ejaculates within 10 minutes than it means that he may be suffering from premature ejaculation. However there are some couples that find 10 minutes to be satisfying enough for sexual intercourse, and thus donít feel that ejaculation in 10 minutes is premature ejaculation.
So it can be said that it is basically for the partners to decide if the male partner is suffering from premature ejaculation. It is when the woman feels that she is not satisfied with her sex life, and if he feels he cannot Ďhold oní till itís time to ejaculate, then it is highly probable that he is suffering from premature ejaculation.
So if you think that you are suffering from premature ejaculation, or know someone is suffering from it, advise them to seek medical help before premature ejaculation wrecks havoc in their married life.
