Having a Baby? Determine Baby Gender!
The thought of having a baby is exciting, but the most exciting part is the
prediction of the gender of our baby so we can decide what particular color of
clothes, and types of toys and accessories to buy in advance.
In today's day and age, technology is so advanced that even knowing the child's
gender before conception is no longer a hassle for all those would-be parents.
There are traditional methods for predicting the baby's gender which are
practiced in the past and are still being done today like the chronic villus
sampling (CVS) and ultrasound or sonogram. These methods are very accurate but
there are still chances of getting it wrong.
One of the earliest tests that were performed was the CVS or chronic villus
sampling, but it carries the risk factor of miscarriages. It is done by
carefully removing small amounts of placenta and this is usually done in the
late part of pregnancy in its first trimester. Since the chromosomes are the one
that is being analyzed here, CVS can predict the baby's gender from detecting if
the Y chromosome is present or not. When the Y chromosome is absent, there is a
greater chance that you will be having a baby girl.
On the other hand, a sonogram (ultrasound) is the most commonly preferred method
that is being chosen by most pregnant women today. It is usually done on the
18th week of pregnancy. But unfortunately, this method doesn't work sometimes.
There are babies that are "shy" which can be the reason as to why it
is hard to have the full view of the baby. There are also some instances that
labial folds can be mistaken as a penis and other times the penis is hard to
visualize.
However, there are still lots of this so called "old-wives- tales"
that you can make use of in helping you to predict your baby's gender. But these
types of gender prediction test are mostly inaccurate but with its 50% chance of
being wrong many women still prefer to try it out of curiosity.
Now to know that you are having a baby boy, check the following:
* The baby that you are carrying is very low
* Your baby is active
* You crave for salts
* The heart rate of your baby is not greater than 140 beats per minute
* Your morning sickness during the first trimester is less
* If you have a cold feet
* If you have uneven breast
Also, you can choose to consult the Chinese gender chart in making your
prediction. This ancient Chinese Chart is used in predicting the sex of the
unborn child, and is reported to have a 99% accuracy. In using this chart, all
you have to do is to know the month when the baby was conceived and at the same
time your age during the time of conception.
Here is a glimpse of how the Chinese chart works: take for example your age is
28 at the time when the baby was conceived and the month was January, it is
likely that you will have a baby boy and so with the months of February and
March. But when the baby was conceived by the month of April and May (at the
same age), it is said in the calendar that you will be having a baby girl.
Now having had the idea on predicting your baby's gender, you are now ready to
go to the mall and buy baby things. But don't stress yourself too much in
thinking about your baby's gender because it is exciting to think that you will
know it impromptu when your baby is already there in your hands.
