With the Theradyne ET860 Elliptical having been discontinued, the Horizon EX44 has more
features than the old Elliptical. The Horizon EX44 has two more fitness programs available
than the Theradyne ET860 with ten in all. The weight capacity of the Horizon is also superior
than the Theradyne, with 300 lbs. The Horizon also has the dual action that the Theradyne had
at a lower price. The Theradyne cost $1299 while the Horizon a mere $999.
Having added several intensive features on their Elliptical Crosstrainers, Theradyne Fitness
offers a smooth and silent generator system workout especially with the continuous power and
heart rate control. Designed with the natural walking movements of the human body, these
features provide a total body, superbly smooth and comfortable, high intensity, NON impact
cardiovascular workout.
The Theradyne ET860 Elliptical trainer has dual action, an electronic resistance control and
an electro magnetic resistance type. It also includes a contact heart rate monitor, eight
fitness programs, an adjustable stride length, a weight capacity of 250 lbs., a self
generating power supply and of course a 1 year warranty on parts and electronics. The
dimensions of the Elliptical is 42" L x 25.5" W x 63" H and weighs 154 lbs.
