Did You Know...
- Did You Know That Sole Treadmills Are Used in Hilton Hotels Exclusively Worldwide?
The Sole TT8 has had a long history.
Before the TT8, there was the TT7 and the TT6. You can say that the Sole TT8 is version 3 of the TT (short for Twenty-Two) series. The main selling point of the Sole TT8 is that for those that want a treadmill with a 22 inch wide belt, they can do so affordably with the Sole TT8.
Sole treadmills are perhaps most well known for being the main supplier of treadmills for Hilton Hotels. They sell treadmills and ellipticals from $1000 all the way up to $2300. The Sole TT8 is thus the best offering from Sole based solely on its price of $2300. If you want the best that Sole has to offer, the TT8 is it.
The specs on this treadmill will tell you why it's the best that Sole has to offer. With a 22" wide belt as previously mentioned, there's also 60" to its length. Usually with a belt this big, it's best to have a motor that is sufficiently powerful enough to power it. Luckily, the engineers at Sole did not skimp as the treadmill uses a 3.5 HP contious duty motor. A rating as high as 3.5 is often found in commercial models - the same ones you find in the gym!
This treadmill also weighs a full 300 pounds. Especially for the lighter folks, running on this treadmill is going to be rock solid. For a home treadmill, this is a real solid piece of equipment.
Rollers on the TT8 are measured at 3 inches for its diameter. This is also of decent size and is further proof that the company is not skimping on quality here but this is to be expected as this is after all, the top unit from Sole.
Many buyers would also appreciate the heart rate capabilities of this treadmill. For one, it comes with the standard hand pulse grips which reads how fast your heart is beating by gripping the handles. Secondly, there's a wireless heart rate strap that you can put on that will also show your heart rate. Now, knowing your heart rate is fine but not of much use unless you can actually translate the information into tangible results. That's why you'll want to use the heart rate control programs that are already preprogrammed into the console. What this does is it adjusts the treadmill to the heart rate levels of the program to give you a workout that gets you results.
Standard on all Sole treadmills are fans that will provide for a nice breeze while you run. I personally don't like the console of the TT8 much but this is more of a personal issue. You can look at the pictures yourself and decide if you agree with me.
The most indicative of a treadmill's quality is the warranty that backs it. The Sole TT8 offers the same warranty of its lesser brothers, the Sole F85, Sole F83 and Sole F80. This means life time frame, deck and motor, 5 year parts and 2 years labor. These are long warranty periods for treadmills in any price ranges but it's a little disappointing that the company didn't separate the TT8 from its other models by offering a longer warranty.
