Sole Fitness touts their Sole F83 as a treadmill that folds but doesn't compromise stability and performance.
If you've done a little bit of research on treadmills, you might be familiar with the concept that folding treadmills are inherently less stable than non-folding treadmills due to the nature of their design. With the Sole F83, it seems the company believes that it can perform equally well if not better than its non-folding competitors in this price range. If you look a little closer, there's good reason why.
The Sole F83 features a running surface that measures at 20" by 58". This can accomodate users of most sizes and strides and is fact, longer than the award winning Sole F80. Powering this long treadbelt is a 3.0 HP Continuous Duty motor with ultra high torque. This motor can in fact make your the Sole F83 run as fast as 12 mph. Combine this with an incline motor that helps propel it at up to 15% incline, you have a treadmill with a winning formula.
Unlike the Sole F80, the Sole F83 treadmill can output a total of 3 different colors. If you're like most people, one color or three, it doesn't make much of a difference.
