Editorial Review This mesh-sided playard is sturdier and more colorful than most. It's also bigger and more nearly square, unfolding to 36 by 34 inches internally and 24 inches deep from a folded package 36 inches long by 10 inches square. Stability comes from a four-footed metal frame, which--along with the four plastic corner feet--gives the playard eight points of contact with the ground. A rigid, padded-top floor is included, decorated with a patchwork pattern featuring smiling butterflies and other critters. Setup takes one person about one to two minutes, and the result is a colorful haven complete with a mirror on one side and bug characters on the other three. Packing up again is also easy, though squeezing everything into the included nylon storage/carrying bag can be a challenge. --Richard Farr
