I just got my PS3 two days before Christmas. So Far I've been really impressed. I bought COD3 and Resistance and the graphics on both are amazing not to mention the sound on Call of Duty when hooked up to 6.1 surround..you can actually hear where the action is taking place on the battlefield and follow it. I too was a little sketched out about buying this system based on the price tag..but..I did some easy math to build up a 360 before buying it, adding a wireless network adapter, an HD DVD ($199) player add-on..and the cost was more expensive than the PS3 by about 100 dollars or so. Besides gaming, I've been importing all of my favorite music into the hard drive, which is really cool (I can get rid of my bulky 200 disc CD changer now). I've yet to experience any of the problems that people are talking about and everything ran and set up smoothly. Over the next year, I'd suspect that developers will have the time to really involve themselves in unleashing the true power of this system. I think the launch titles other than COD3 and Resistance look a bit "rushed" based on the November deadline that Sony pushed on them.
