Our opening clip includes complete coverage of the 1923 citywide conflagration. You will see silent newsreel footage of the devastating 1923 fire that destroyed much of Berkeley, California. Aptly, the DVD includes clips which demonstrate quite convincingly, the devastating power of fire through fascinating footage of the fires that consumed most of Berkeley and the one that destroyed the lumberyard in San Francisco.
