A list of assignments is sent to you through a program (that is given to you that you install on your computer.) You will map them, put them in a route, then you go to each one. (I normally do about 40 on a route, but have some people who do less and some who do a lot more....it is up to you) and perform the direction given about the assignment procedure.* It could be a vacant home in which you leave a notice on the door and walk around to each side of the home taking a picture of each side( in addition all assignments need a picture of the house address, street sign and neighborhood picture....this proves you are at the correct house). It may be an occupied house in which case you do NOT walk around their yard. For Occupied homes a notice can be left on the door ( no need to make contact) and the notice is simply an 800 number that the occupant needs to call.
Each stop you make should take less then 4 min and in most cases a lot less. Then after you have done the route you planned you will go to your computer and upload the pictures and a simple report through the software program I provide. Then on the 6th and 20th of the month you are sent payment.
Since the majority of these are simple quick and not in depth inspections the pay on each is based on the volume you will be doing, since in most cases doing 6 to 10 houses per hour is just average. Inspection types vary in pay also with the majority paying between $2.75 to $4.25 per assignment. Some pay as high as $8.00. It would depend on the type of inspection.
Most assignments have 5 to 8 day windows to be completed in, so it is a very flexible schedule that you determine once you are ON the team.
I do not want any one going out unless they make at least $100 a day and on average it will be much more then that each day. Then it goes back to you and how you want to plan things, you can plan to do a little or a lot, but the bottom line is the assignments have to be in on time. It is flexible that you set your days and hours you want to work. However Rush assignments do only have a 48 turnaround and can be a pain to fit in at times. Then there are also times where there my be one house in the middle of nowhere and it has to be done. You will be responsible to cover you area.
This is the short version, let me know if you want to continue the application process. All people that work for SCHIS must submit to a background check to be hired but this may not disqualify you.
