To Whom It May Concern:
The 1940 U. S. Federal Census "Enumerators" found four persons living together within the same household in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. Two of their names were either incomplete, illegible and/or misspelled before and/or after being "Indexed" by Ancestry.com. Those files, as you may be aware, were sealed for a period of 72 years. During September 2012, those names written and/or transcribed in error were corrected on the Ancestry.com pages that contained them by the addition of a special bracket for the correction. Here are the two correctly spelled names as they should now appear on the "Indexed" 1940 U. S. Census.
(1) "Jessie James Johnson"
(2) "Elvira Johnson"
If anyone has any objection to the corrections, they may contact me as follows:
By mail: Mr. Sammy Johnson-Post Office Box 1541, Prairieville, LA 70769-1541
By phone: (800) 382-0695
By E-Mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
This "Public And Legal Notice" will run for a minimum of 15 calendar days starting October 1, 2012. This "Public And Legal Notice" will now run indefinitely.
